Summary:
The Machine Operator controls the process, inspects product for quality conformance and accurately records quality data using statistical process controls by performing the following duties:
Key Responsibilities:
Will be expected to learn all the machines in their respective areas.
Monitors temperatures and charts on responsible equipment. Subsequently notifies leads, maintenance supervisors or managers if equipment needs adjustments or repairs.
Properly sets up and loads machines according to product being produced within the plant.
Performs sanitation of equipment using chemicals and assists with changeover of equipment, ensuring all lock-out and tag-out procedures are followed.
Operates appropriate material handling equipment, if necessary, such as forklift/pallet jacks in a safe and orderly manner in an effort to reduce accidents and injuries.
Complies with all applicable State/Federal laws, regulations and policies (i.e. OSHA, HACCP, AIB, etc.)
Troubleshoots problems as they arise and makes appropriate adjustments to correct the problem .
Additional Responsibilities:
Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
Follows plant food safety policies and industry best practices.
Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of$19.35 to$20.16. Swing shift differential - $.50 per hour added to wage
