This role is responsible for operating various types of machinery, as needed, and as described by assigned leadership.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Set up assigned equipment each day according to the posted production schedule and product specifications. Disassemble at the close of each day for sanitation.
  2. Monitor equipment operations: troubleshoot and resolve basic malfunctions, notify supervision and maintenance staff when significant issues occur.
  3. Record data, make entries, and adjust as needed.
  4. Calibrate systems for time, temperature, and equipment positions.
  5. Record and interpret temperatures related to the process.
  6. Use, read, and record measuring devices and product parameters.
  7. Monitor equipment daily and take corrective actions to resolve issues.
  8. Collaborate with maintenance staff to establish and follow preventative maintenance programs and best practices for equipment operation.
  9. Notify management or supervision of any unusual or out-of-spec operations.
  10. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, complying with company policies.
  11. Take ownership of the equipment and machinery.
  12. Follow safety procedures, including education, training, and use of protective equipment.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience & Skills
  • 0-1 years of related experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze and recommend improvements.
  • Follow verbal instructions effectively.
  • Read and follow recipes and specifications.
  • Understand measurement units and applications.
  • Read and interpret written specifications, blueprints, or schematics in English.
Education

Work Environment
  • Work in a manufacturing plant environment, possibly involving noise, extreme temperatures, and moving equipment.
  • Conditions typical of a food manufacturing facility.
  • No domestic travel required.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for over 4 hours.
