Job summary

Buckeye Fire Equipment Company is hiring a Machine Operator for the Automated Weld Line at our Kings Mountain, NC facility. The role involves operating the HMI, inspecting welds, and performing minor repairs while ensuring product quality and logging production data.

Eligible full-time staff receive a weekly attendance bonus and can earn an additional $1 per hour for each hour worked, in addition to base wages. Flexibility to rotate through different lines and overtime on weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Prior HMI experience is a plus; eagerness to learn HMI.
• Mechanically inclined to understand equipment operation.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to rotate to a different operation within the facility.
• Willingness to cross-train on numerous product lines.
• Ability to work overtime on weekends as business conditions indicate.
• Ability to work well in teams; communicate with urgency to supervisor on nonconforming issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate Automated Weld Line using HMI and adjust as needed.
• Inspect welds and cosmetic appearance; ensure product quality.

Eligible employees can receive an additional $1 per hour, for every hour worked, in addition to their hourly wages for working their scheduled shift.****Responsibilities*** Utilizes Human Machine Interface (HMI) to operate equipment and make adjustments as needed* Ensures quality of product by measuring equipment to ensure proper product specifications are met* Responsible for visual inspection of welds and cosmetic appearance of product* Utilizes hand tools to make minor repairs or adjustments, as needed* Processes product logs to ensure consistency and quality* May be required to perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor**Qualifications*** Prior HMI experience is a plus.
