Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking a reliable Machine Operator in Austin, TX to support asphalt projects across North and South Texas. This role drives distributor trucks, sets spray bars, and controls distribution of bituminous materials for highway surfacing.

You may perform basic maintenance and adjustments as needed. Candidates must hold a Class B CDL with tanker, Hazmat endorsement preferred, and be legally authorised to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to jobsite safety and safe work practices.
• Class B CDL with tanker endorsement.
• Hazmat required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Operate distributor truck and control spray bars for bituminous materials.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and attend daily safety meetings.
• Work hours may include days, nights, and weekends as project demands.

Job description

Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking Machine Operator (Austin, TX) for any of the North and South Texas asphalt projects. We excel at what we do and are looking for talented construction professionals that want to excel with us.

The Asphalt Distributor Operator drives distributor truck sets spray bars and operates valves and lever to control distribution of bituminous materials for highway surfacing. May oil, grease or otherwise service and make adjustments to equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily equipment maintenance and inspections
• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Participate as a vital team member, contributing towards Austin’s success
• Attend daily safety meetings
• Follow safety policies and procedures
• Work hours adjusted to meet the project’s needs; days, nights and weekends
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions, hot or cold temperatures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety
• Diligent in demonstrating safe work practices.
• Class B with tanker
• Hazmat required
