Machine Operator Assistant

Schedule: Monday - Friday rotating schedule, must be able to work weekends

Pay: $17.57 per hour

We are currently looking for a full-time Slitting Assistant Operator to assist the Slitter Operator in the safe and efficient operation of coating equipment to meet customer delivery targets at specified quality levels. Ensures safe and efficient implementation of all duties in support of production of the highest possible quality product.

Responsibilities include:

• Follow all safety rules and regulations according to TC standards
• Comply with all TC policies
• Recognize and respond to potential safety hazards and safeguards (machine guarding, light curtains, pinch points, LOTO, grounding, E-Stops, fire alarms, evacuations)
• Locate and follow product specifications, OPLs, SOPs, and ensure team compliance
• Lift a minimum of 50 lbs. multiple times during a shift
• Assist operator with setup, operation, and preventive maintenance of slitting machines
• Maintain proficiency in all related tasks
• Understand manufacturing orders and specifications
• Assist in visual inspection of materials for quality standards
• Set up, start, and monitor machines during operator breaks and meal periods
• Perform basic troubleshooting
• Apply quality system procedures and participate in quality issue resolution
• Support material handling and coordinate with team members
• Wrap, label, and package finished materials per customer specifications
