Job description

Job Title: Power Frame Operator

Pay: $24/hour

Shift/Hours: 6:45am to 7:15pm OR 6:45pm to 7:15am

Every other weekend off.

What You Get

Your hourly pay will be $24 per hour. You will receive 1.5x pay for any time worked over 40 hours a week.

What You Will Do

We are looking for motivated individuals who would like to make a career in the world of plastics. You will be responsible for always maintaining a safe environment by adhering to employee safety guidelines, 5S, and plant visual standards. This position requires diversified and skilled work using a high degree of independence.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Challenge and testing of all automated assembly equipment.
  2. Operate powered industrial equipment such as walkies and forklifts.
  3. Eliminate production of defective parts and products, following escalation plans for deviations outside control limits.
  4. Track, record, analyze, and prepare materials to present performance results at daily, weekly, and periodic meetings.
  5. Track department's raw material waste and production inefficiencies.
  6. Understand and apply Preventative Maintenance Guidelines related to Uptime, Mean Time Between Failures, Mean Time Between Repairs, and Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  7. Competently use servicing and maintenance tools and equipment, and be familiar with different categories of lubricants and service parts.

How You Will Do It

The primary duties of an Operator include:

  1. Utilizing and understanding SPC technology to drive line efficiencies, reduce scrap, and improve capabilities.
  2. Ensuring conformance to specifications.
  3. Supporting installation of machine die changes.
  4. Inspecting products for surface defects and flaws.
  5. Reading specifications to determine setup and prescribed temperature and time settings.
  6. Actively participating in HPT Lean Manufacturing process improvements and cost reduction projects and activities.
  7. Responsible for Coil Monitoring and Change-Over.
  8. Performing work order entry for all work completed, spare parts modified, or changed on every machine.

What We Look For

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Previous work experience of at least 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Good interpersonal skills to discuss problems and solutions with Lead Mechanical Operator, Quality Partners, and Supervisor.
  4. Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  5. Ability to work in a team environment, as well as being self-sufficient.
  6. Productive and cooperative work ethic with clear communication skills.

Our components plant located in Florence, Kentucky manufactures and produces battery containers, covers, and PowerFrame grids. We opened in 1978 and now employ 150 people and operate six days per week. We are actively involved in our local community, hosting food and hygiene product drives for local homeless shelters and supporting Housing Opportunities of Northern Kentucky and Northern Kentucky Children's Home.
