Job summary

American Augers, a division of The Toro Company in West Salem, Ohio, is seeking a production operator to perform set‑ups and operate production equipment. The role includes reading blueprints, assembling components, and maintaining accurate production records.

You will use hand and air tools, monitor machine performance, and ensure operations follow proper sequence. Experience with welding or machining is a plus, and the job is on-site with standard manufacturing hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Be familiar with and have basic experience using mechanical repair and assembly tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
• Have appropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills including understanding written instructions, maintaining production records, and calculating sums, differences, and fractions.
• Experience or training in welding, machining, mechanical repair, or metal working machinery operation would be beneficial.

Hours: 5am – 3:30pm Monday through Thursday, some overtime on Fridays
Wage: $18-21/hr based on experience
