Job summary

Leggett Dynamics in Morris, IL is hiring for first/second/third shift operators. The role involves moving containers with hand trucks, identifying materials, and using the Banbury mixer per batch specifications.

You will adjust oil, whiting, and cycle temperatures on the PLC and maintain a clean, safe work area. The position offers hourly pay and benefits with opportunities for annual increases based on performance.

Qualifications

• Ability to use powered and unpowered hand trucks to move containers safely.
• Aware of different chemicals and rubber types used in production.
• Follows the Banbury Mixing Sheet to confirm proper ingredients per batch.
• Operates Banbury mixer in auto and manual modes.
• Understands PLC screen adjustments for oil, whiting, and cycle temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean mixer and surrounding area, free of buildup.
• Clear batch and oil counters at end of each work order or shift.
• Ensure work area is free from safety hazards and comply with ISO9001.
• Identify and record problems related to product, process or quality system.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

3rd Shift - 11pm-7am

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Use of powered and unpowered hand truck to position containers of chemicals and/or rubber
• Capable of identifying different types of chemicals and rubber
• Able to utilize the “#11 Banbury Mixing Sheet” to confirm the proper ingredients per batch
• Can operate the #11 Banbury mixer in both auto and manual modes
• Understands how to adjust the oil, whiting, and cycle temperatures on the PLC screen
• Maintains a clean mixer, mixer door, and throat free of excess buildup
• Clears batch and oil counter at the end of each work order and/or at the end of the shift
• Keeps work area clean and free of safety hazards
• Commitment to ISO9001 and Continuous Improvement
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities related to product, process and the system
• Identify and/or record any problems relating to the product, process and the quality system

Hourly pay ranges from $21.62 to $21.94 based on experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is eligible for an annual performance increase, subject to or based on individual performance, business results, budgetary constraints, and other factors.
