The Opportunity

We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our afternoon shift team. The role involves operating various manufacturing processes to support the production of gas turbine engine components.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Setting up and operating heating equipment such as heat-treating furnaces and vacuum equipment.
  2. Operating fabricating machines like band saws, lathes, and tube benders.
  3. Removing burrs and irregularities from machined parts according to blueprints and tolerances.
  4. Using hand tools for assembly tasks.
  5. Maintaining proper identification and documentation of parts.
  6. Contributing to team goals by reducing scrap and improving throughput.
  7. Performing routine maintenance on equipment.
  8. Adhering to safety, quality, and company policies, and maintaining a clean work area.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. 1-2 years of manufacturing experience; experience with carbonized furnaces is a plus.
  3. Ability to interpret blueprints and use measuring equipment.
  4. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a team environment.
  5. Ability to obtain internal certifications for vacuum, nitriding, and carburizing furnaces.
  6. Work hours from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime.
  7. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform reaching and pushing tasks.
  8. U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.
