Job Title: Machine Operator A - Conventional Vial

Functional Group: Operations

Direct report: Department Shift Supervisor

Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 am to 2:00 pm - Monday to Friday)

Role:

The Machine A Operator supports the production department by ensuring efficient machine operation. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, eager to learn supervisory duties, and communicates effectively with team members and quality technicians. Focus on safety, quality, productivity, and cleanliness is essential. This role is vital for the department’s success.

Environment:
  • Manufacturing plant
  • Can be very hot during certain seasons
Essential Job Functions:
  1. Set up machines for production cycles
  2. Control and adjust machine settings
  3. Inspect parts with precision measuring tools
  4. Maintain visual and dimensional quality through continuous inspection
  5. Identify and communicate machine-related issues
  6. Perform in-process inspections
  7. Report machine operation and product non-conformities
  8. Maintain SPC data on assigned lines
  9. Follow SOPs for data entry and machine adjustments
  10. Adjust machines to optimize performance and quality
  11. Manage machine changeovers efficiently
  12. Ensure proper machine loading
  13. Keep activity logs and records
  14. Support fellow operators as needed
Abilities Needed:
  • Manual dexterity
  • Ability to perform detailed inspections
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift 1-10 pounds repeatedly
  • Extensive standing
  • Time management skills
  • Technical and math skills for interpreting specifications and SPC graphs
  • Mechanical skills for troubleshooting and maintenance
