Job Title: Operator 2, Machine

Location: Columbus, NE
Shift: D-Shift (Nights), 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Work Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off)
Wage: $22.70 per hour (includes $20.00/hr base pay + 13.5% shift differential)
Hours: Rotating 36 and 48-hour work weeks, Monday - Sunday

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operator 2, Machine to join our production team in Columbus, NE. This position involves performing a variety of routine production functions, including filling, utility operations, packing, packaging, assembling, labeling, and inspecting, all while ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and ISO9000 standards. As an Operator 2, you will be part of a collaborative team, supporting operational goals and contributing to the successful completion of daily production activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery and equipment involved in filling, packing, packaging, and labeling under general supervision.
  • Inspect products for quality and maintain accurate production records and logs, ensuring compliance with FDA, GMP, and ISO9000 standards.
  • Effectively contribute to a team environment, supporting team goals and working with minimal supervision.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) while performing routine tasks and decision-making in accordance with established practices.
  • Rotate through different tasks and responsibilities as required by operational needs.
  • Report any mechanical issues or quality concerns to supervisors or team leads.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring safety standards are met at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with a focus on basic machine operation and production tasks.
  • Skills:
    • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
    • Ability to follow instructions and standard procedures effectively.
    • Strong communication skills to collaborate with co-workers and supervisors.
    • Basic math skills for calculations related to production tasks.

  • Other Requirements:
