POSITION SUMMARY

The Machine Operator will work within the processing and packaging teams to operate equipment according to product standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Set up, sanitize, operate, and maintain assigned machinery
2. Record production data such as filling times and material usage
3. Inspect and pack products
4. Prepare and transfer work-in-progress materials
5. Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules
6. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
7. Learn equipment operation and assist engineering with mechanical issues
8. Troubleshoot minor machine problems
9. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Basic arithmetic skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.

REASONING ABILITY

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must frequently stand, handle objects, reach, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception. Ability to work in shifts and overtime.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
