Description

Work Schedule: 4x10 hours, off on Sundays and Thursdays, with one additional day off. Shift: 5am-3pm.

Position Summary:

The Machine Operator 4 position requires experience in multiple areas of our refrigerated production environment. The PMO 1 specifically operates packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with GMP, PPE, Safety, SQF, HACCP, and sanitation standards.
  • Complete pre-flight and shutdown procedures; set up packaging equipment according to specifications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and quality checks on equipment and products.
  • Conduct visual quality inspections of products.
  • Manage waste and optimize production efficiency.
  • Verify product and bag specifications, including lot numbers and code dates.
  • Test bag quality (air, seals, code date, weight, nitrogen, volume).
  • Lift and adjust equipment components (up to 50 lbs).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in English; basic math skills.
  • Ability to be cross-trained and multi-task.
  • Willingness to work in a cold, wet, fast-paced environment, 24/7 operations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • GED or High School Diploma.
  • Proficiency in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, or French.

Physical Work Environment:

Work involves using ladders and catwalks, working near moving machinery, and exposure to cold, humidity, chemicals, and noise. Safety precautions are required.
