Join O'Neal Steel as a Machine Operator (3rd Shift) for Trumpf Flat (Fiber) Laser at our Birmingham facility.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up and operate a Trumpf Flat (Fiber) Laser, along with other processing and material handling equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety protocols and wear protective gear.
• Set up and operate processing equipment such as fiber laser, saw, shear, press brake, roller, plasma, etc.
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, stacker cranes, side loaders, and yard dogs.
• Read and interpret work instructions and blueprints, especially 3D prints.
• Use measuring tools like tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
• Convert between fractions and decimals, perform basic arithmetic.
• Ensure high-quality output for internal and external customers.

Shift and Schedule

Work hours are from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate various processing and material handling equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
• Responsible for delivering high-quality work.
