Job description

O'Neal Steel currently has an opening for a (3rd Shift) Machine Operator at our Birmingham facility.

Job Responsibilities

1. Set up and operate production machines following established procedures and guidelines.
2. Use computer-controlled equipment to select, position, and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines.
3. Control and adjust machine settings to meet specifications and complete tasks accurately and timely.
4. Operate various processing equipment such as fiber laser, saw, shear, press brake, roller, plasma, etc.
5. Operate material handling equipment including forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.
6. Read and interpret blueprints.
7. Use measuring tools like tape measure, calipers, and micrometers.
8. Convert fractions to decimals and perform arithmetic operations.
9. Provide high-quality work to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Ability to work 3rd Shift (10:00PM - 6:00AM, Sunday - Thursday). Overtime as needed.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug test upon employment offer.
