O'Neal Steel - 3rd Shift Machine Operator (Birmingham Facility)

O'Neal Steel is seeking a Machine Operator for our Birmingham facility on the 3rd shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Sunday - Thursday). The Machine Operator sets up and operates production machines following established procedures, using computer-controlled equipment to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

1. Operate various processing equipment such as fiber laser, saw, shear, press brake, roller, plasma, etc.
2. Handle material using equipment like forklifts, overhead cranes, stacker cranes, side loaders, and yard dogs.
3. Read and interpret blueprints.
4. Use measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
5. Convert and perform calculations with fractions and decimals.
6. Ensure high-quality work to meet internal and external customer standards.

Requirements

• Ability to work the specified third shift; overtime may be required.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug test upon employment offer.
