Job Summary

The Grinding Operator for the Grind Department maintains machine operation during the production process, ensuring all machines are operational within company standards, monitoring product being ground/mixed, and ensuring all full/empty buggies/bins are correctly placed. Any issues should be reported immediately. After the shift, the area must be cleaned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Use safety scissors/knife to open necessary ingredients.
• Operate scale and ensure all finished buggies/bins are labeled and covered.
• Move/store finished buggies/bins in designated areas or to the production line.
• Lift/shovel (up to 50 lbs.) product between bins and buggies.
• Identify downgrades, contamination, foreign material and report as needed.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Be Pallet Jack certified.
• Assist on the line (styling/inspecting/assisting lead) when not operating equipment.
• Follow lockout-tagout procedures and certify accordingly.
• Inspect and calibrate all equipment.
• Grease and reassemble the grinder.
• Coordinate with leads to follow production schedules.
• Follow product recipes from SharePoint.
• Calculate correct ingredient weights for proper product mix.
