Rate: $20.25/hr + $3.00/hr shift premium ($23.25)

You must be willing to train on 1st shift for a short time (1 week - 1 month based on skill level) before moving over to 3rd shift.

Role Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for all setup and operation of machines in the designated department. Operators may work with computer-controlled equipment or more mechanically based machines.

SCHEDULE: 9:00 pm - 7:00 am Monday through Thursday, with overtime scheduled on Friday, as needed.

What You'll Do:

• Set up and operate various machines.
• Run material through machine according to company specifications.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Ensure correct materials are used to meet customer specifications.
• Ensure all inventory entries are complete and accurate.
• Inspect and maintain quality of product.
• Responsible for meeting all quality and efficiency standards.
• Meet all company safety policies and report any concerns related to required maintenance of machines.
• Test operation of machines periodically.
• Handle special projects as business dictates.
• Duties may be expanded and additional duties assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand for long hours, walk, bend, twist, stoop, squat, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Frequently required to talk or hear.
• Must reach with fingers, hands, and arms.

• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dust, varying temperatures, and moving mechanical parts.
• Safety gear required as per regulations.

What You'll Need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Machine operator experience preferred; strong knowledge of manufacturing machines.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, including reading tape measures, blueprints, and schematics.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented and self-motivated.
• Dependability.
