Qualifications

Job Title: Machine Operator

Pay rate $20.00 + DOE

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for cutting raw material and/or trimming printed stock to customer specifications various cutters. Performs cutting operations to close tolerances.

Prefer experience with a Heidelberg, Fotoba sheeters,Die Cutters

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checks material to be trimmed against production order for accuracy.
  • Determines whether trimming is necessary prior to final cutting.
  • Determines lift size (number of sheets) per cut to maintain tolerance ranges within precise limitations.
  • Performs cutting operations to close tolerances, sets back stop, clamp pressure, keeps cutter square, changes blade, and checks with supervisor for approval before cutting job.
  • Blocks, stacks, feeds, cuts, retrieves, and re-stacks sheets.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Records cutting waste. Measures or weighs as necessary, and dispose of material as indicated.
  • Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on cutter, trimmer, and other equipment.
  • Inspect machine guards for safety compliance.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
