Production Supervisor
Your role and responsibilities
- Set up and operate multiple machines and manufacturing processes across various functions, utilizing advanced manufacturing and quality knowledge.
- Use judgment to adjust or set up machines to produce quality parts efficiently, following dispatch lists and floor management directions.
- Train and monitor MO-1 and MO-2 operators as directed.
- Demonstrate flexibility and proficiency in operating diverse manufacturing processes, working effectively within a team and cross-training co-workers.
- Review work instructions and blueprints to determine specifications, machine adjustments, and material needs.
- Document work using manufacturing systems.
- Measure, mark, and prepare metal stock for machining or setup.
- Operate machine tools, inspect standards, and ensure proper use of dies, tools, and jigs.
- Properly dispose of waste and minimize scrap.
- Analyze and adjust chemical solutions for washing or plating, and respond to spills or hazards.
- Use measuring tools such as dial calipers, snap gauges, or micrometers.
- Perform routine machine maintenance as instructed.
- Stack, label, pack, and transport finished workpieces.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for the role
- High school diploma or GED required; three or more years of related experience preferred.
- Preferred experience in extrusion and punch press manufacturing processes and setup.
- Proficiency with machine tools, gauges, calipers, and blueprint reading.
- Ability to interpret safety, operating, and maintenance instructions, and communicate effectively in English at a minimum 9th-grade level.
- Basic math skills for measurement and calculations.
- Problem-solving skills, data analysis, and ability to interpret technical diagrams.
