Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2pm-10:30pm shift in Sparks, MD. This 12-month contract on W2 is with a medical devices client and requires experience operating filling equipment and basic machine maintenance.

Responsibilities include material handling, packaging, record-keeping per GMP and SOP, and following safety rules including respirator use. High school diploma and 3 years manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing, packaging and/or warehouse environment.
• Must be capable of heavy lifting during an 8 hr shift.
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs for most of the workday.
• Must be able to pass forklift operations and respirator fit test.

Responsibilities

• Move required materials from storage to workspace using material handling equipment.
• Package final product into end-user containers per SMP/SOP.
• Maintain logs and records per GDP.
• Set up, operate and clean production equipment and monitor process parameters.
• Maintain accurate production records and ensure weight tolerances.
• Follow safety policies and work overtime as required.

Job Description

• Looking for candidates with machine operator experience;
• Experience in running filling equipment, assembling and disassembling machines for cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for moving required materials from defined storage or staging areas to workspace using material handling equipment including manual and motorized pallet jacks/walkies.
• Packaging of final product into end-user containers per approved Standard Manufacturing Procedures (SMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Keeps accurate logs (both written and on computer) following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Demonstrates ability to set-up, operate and clean production equipment including weighing scales, hand-filling equipment, Integrated Fill Lines (IFL) and Bagging equipment (SpeeDee & All-Fills). Requires monitoring of critical meters, gauges and displays for process parameters (ie. temperature, humidity, RPMs).
• Maintains accurate production records, which include operation/cleaning logs, batch history records, Label reconciliation, work order information and other pertinent data.
• Responsible for assuring final product is within final weight tolerance as specified per IMW A163.
• Use independent judgment to plan, perform, make decisions, trouble-shoot and problem solve in areas on set up, operations, and processes.
• Demonstrate the ability to maintain neat, accurate and complete records and logs and use calibration equipment and machine operations.
• Must follow all client and DCM safety policies and procedures.
• Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements.
• Performs other duties as DCM operations required.

Minimum Qualification

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing, packaging and/or warehouse environment.
• Must be capable of performing heavy lifting/handling during a 8 hr. shift; 1-5 lb.- 70% ; 5-25 lbs. -30%
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs 50% to 95% of the workday.
• Must be capable of passing the physical examination for forklift operations and respirator fit test.

Additional Notes

• Dusty environment requiring routine use of N95 respirators.
• Routine use of Safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, respirators and hearing protection may be required. Must be used if required.
• Respirators and PAPR are required at times for specified products.
• Repetitively heavy lifting/handling during a 8 hr shift; 1-5 lb.- 70% ; 5-35 lbs -30%
• Forklift Experience is very helpful
