Job summary

Power Solutions International, Inc. in Illinois is seeking a Machining Team Member to prepare and machine engine blocks and heads from engineering drawings. You will operate CNC machines and verify parts meet the Control Plan and quality standards.

This on-site role requires attention to detail, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, strict safety adherence, and accurate documentation. Prior CNC machining, automotive assembly, or Lean manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent with math skills.
• Proficiency in CNC Machining and high-volume manufacturing; experience may substitute for certification.
• Know metric and English measurement systems and perform conversions.
• Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and gauges with hand tools.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to perform precision machining per drawings.
• Monitor and verify finished parts against drawings and the Control Plan.
• Follow standard procedures for tool setup, process verification, inspection, documentation, and material handling.
• Perform general machine maintenance per daily checklists.
• Lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds; assist with heavier items as needed.
• Adhere to safety procedures and wear PPE; maintain clean, organized work area.

We are positioned to meet the high production volumes of our customers with added capacity for growth.Position Summary:Reporting to the Machining Team Lead, the Machining Team Member is responsible for the preparation and machining of (engine) blocks and heads in conformance with engineering drawings, standardized work instructions and quality standardsEssential Responsibilities:Operate Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) machines to ensure precision machining operationsMonitor and verify finished parts conform to engineering drawings and quality standards per the Control PlanEnsure that standard procedures are followed in all aspects of work including tool setup and operation, process verification, product inspection, documentation, and material handlingPerform general machine maintenance per Daily Maintenance ChecklistsAs needed, lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds of materials to assist in production.
