Machine Operator 2nd Shift (3:00pm-11:00pm Mon-Fri)

Position Overview

This role involves operating various fabrication machinery, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a safe work environment. The position reports to the Fabrication Supervisor.

Responsibilities

1. Set-up and operate fastener insertion, semi-automatic welding, wide belt sander, and vibratory tumbling machines
2. Work at different stations as needed
3. Manage inventory and inspect parts and machinery for defects
4. Follow work instructions, safety policies, and production schedules
5. Maintain a clean and safe workspace

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
• Read and interpret engineering prints
• Experience with complex machinery setup and operation
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Proficient in basic computer skills and mathematical calculations
• Knowledge of workplace safety protocols is a plus

Work Environment

• Shop area with chemicals, machinery, dust, paint, noise
• Use of protective clothing and equipment required
