NOW HIRING: MACHINE OPERATORS – 2ND SHIFT – SUFFOLK, VA

Pay: $18–$20/hour

Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday – Thursday, 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Join a growing manufacturing team with a global company in Suffolk, VA. The Lee Group is seeking skilled Machine Operators to support converting operations on the 2nd shift. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career with a company committed to safety, quality, and innovation.

As a Machine Operator, you’ll be responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining non-CNC cutting and slitting machines used to convert large-format fiberboard into precise customer specifications. Training will be provided by experienced team members, and you’ll work toward becoming a fully independent operator.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate cutting and slitting machines with precision

Load raw materials and verify correct job specs

Conduct quality checks throughout production runs

Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues

Install and replace cutting knives and related parts

Label finished materials and complete production logs

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace

Collaborate with team members to optimize production flow

Follow all safety procedures and protocols

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or machine operation role preferred

Mechanical aptitude and ability to measure down to 1/64th of an inch

Comfortable with physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varied temperatures

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and operate machinery for long periods

Strong attention to detail and safety mindset
