Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Production Associate for the Roanoke area. This entry-level role supports the bakery production team by safely operating equipment, packaging finished goods, and assisting with ingredient handling to meet quality standards.

The position offers competitive pay at $22.11 per hour on 2nd shift (Monday to Friday, 6:30pm start) and a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, and a Retirement Plan. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing experience; food manufacturing is a plus.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and move pans and ingredients.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a warm environment.
• Must communicate effectively in English.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-powered machinery safely and efficiently.
• Package products and assist with mixing ingredients as needed.
• Move and stack materials and equipment for production of fresh baked goods.
• Examine products against specifications and address issues to reduce waste.
• Complete company training and maintain GMP and food safety standards.

What you will be doing:

• A Production Associate is an entry level role in our bakery and a valuable member of the production team focused on safely and consistently producing the highest quality product possible for customers.
• Perform various duties including, but not limited to; safe operation of high-powered machinery, packaging products, mixing ingredients, and moving and/or stacking materials and equipment used in the production of fresh baked products.
• Examine and reject products that do not meet specification; observe, maintain, and address issues to prevent and reduce waste.
• Participate and successfully complete all Company approved and required training, audits, etc.
• Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices, food safety, and Superior quality standards.

What we need from you:

• At least 18 years of age.
• 1-3 Years of prior manufacturing experience; food manufacturing is a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stack, and/or carry pans, ingredient containers, etc.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Comfortable in a warm working environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work Nights, Weekends & Holidays.
