Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA in Topeka, KS is hiring a Production Associate to join our bakery team. You will operate machinery, assist with packaging, and move materials along the production line.

Shifts available: 2nd (2:00pm–10:30pm) or 3rd (10:00pm–6:30am). Must communicate in English, be able to stand long periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• 1-3 years of prior manufacturing experience; food manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-powered machinery safely, package products, mix ingredients, and move stacks and materials on the production line.
• Inspect products and reject those not meeting specifications; monitor issues to prevent waste.
• Complete company training and audits as required.
• Maintain GMP, food safety, and superior quality standards.

What you will be doing:

• Perform various duties including, but not limited to; safe operation of high-powered machinery, packaging products, mixing ingredients, and moving and/or stacking materials and equipment used in the production of fresh baked products.
• Examine and reject products that do not meet specification; observe, maintain, and address issues to prevent and reduce waste.
• Participate and successfully complete all Company approved and required training, audits, etc.
• Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices, food safety, and Superior quality standards.

What we need from you:

• At least 18 years of age.
• 1-3 Years of prior manufacturing experience; food manufacturing is a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stack, and/or carry pans, ingredient containers, etc.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Comfortable in a warm working environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work Nights, Weekends & Holidays.
