Job summary

Forte Opening Solutions is seeking a Machine Operator to join a high-performance team. The role involves pre-operation inspections, loading hinges, and moving door stacks along conveyor tracks, with frequent tool use and precise measurements.

The candidate will perform inspections, assist with door hinging, and rotate positions to support a collaborative, cross-functional team. A background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• One year of manufacturing experience in a similar role.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long hours.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operation machine inspection and load screws and hinges.
• Sort and push door stacks down conveyor tracks.
• Use mallet to loosen doors and load hinge panels for hinging.
• Inspect hardware alignment and apply correctly prior to push off.
• Rotate positions regularly to support team success.

Operators need to be cooperative and willing to apply their skills and rotate positions on a regular basis to make the team successful.What you will do:• Pre-operation machine inspection- load screws and hinges.• Sort and push door stacks down the conveyor tracks.• Use mallet to loosen doors. Load hinge machine with bifold door panels for hinging. Inspect and ensure hardware aligned and applied correctly prior to push off.• Pull off cullboards, change bits, restock rails/assist .• Reject doors are directed to repair and remakes requested.• LOTO certified and use of air gun during clean up.• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bending, constant twisting while carrying product, stooping, pushing, and standing for long continuous hours is required.What you will need:• Preferably one year experience in manufacturing setting working in a similar role• HS Diploma or GED equivalent• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screenKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:• Work on a computer• Use a Tape Measure, Caliper• Use hand and power tools• Basic reading and writing skills• Ability to add and subtract fractions and whole numbers, convert fractions to decimals* (Exceptional math abilities are a must.)*• Ability to read, follow, and understand work instructions• Ability to do small repairs on doors
