Job summary

Forte Opening Solutions is seeking a Machine Operator to join a high-performance manufacturing team. You will perform pre-operation inspections, load hinges, and manage door stacks along conveyors while rotating tasks to support team success.

Candidates should have HS Diploma or GED, pass background and drug screening, and ideally have 1 year of manufacturing experience. LOTO and safety practices are required, with lifting up to 50 lbs and long hours.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operation machine inspections and load hardware.
• Sort and push door stacks along conveyor tracks.
• Operate bearing/hinge equipment and ensure hardware alignment.
• Inspect and repair doors as needed; reject and remand defective units.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO and cleanup with air tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Operators need to be cooperative and willing to apply their skills and rotate positions on a regular basis to make the team successful.What you will do:• Pre-operation machine inspection- load screws and hinges.• Sort and push door stacks down the conveyor tracks.• Use mallet to loosen doors. Load hinge machine with bifold door panels for hinging. Inspect and ensure hardware aligned and applied correctly prior to push off.• Pull off cullboards, change bits, restock rails/assist .• Reject doors are directed to repair and remakes requested.• LOTO certified and use of air gun during clean up.• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bending, constant twisting while carrying product, stooping, pushing, and standing for long continuous hours is required.What you will need:• Preferably one year experience in manufacturing setting working in a similar role• HS Diploma or GED equivalent• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screenKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:• Work on a computer• Use a Tape Measure, Caliper• Use hand and power tools• Basic reading and writing skills• Ability to add and subtract fractions and whole numbers, convert fractions to decimals* (Exceptional math abilities are a must.)*• Ability to read, follow, and understand work instructions• Ability to do small repairs on doors
