Job description

This position is involved in daily production, staging steel and bundles for upcoming runs, loading and clearing units, visual and physical inspection of steel color, profile, gauge, and quality, and control of output profiling sections with work drawings.

DUTIES:

• Operate overhead crane to load and unload steel coils
• Create list orders for production
• Stage bundles for the upcoming run
• Loading and clearing units
• Ensure that any task performed within the work cell is completed in accordance with the written Standard Working Operating Procedure(s) for that task
• Contribute to an ongoing culture of cleanliness and order within the workstation/cell
• Prepare and make chemical recipes for the production of insulated foam
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during operations
• Interpret and understand technical specifications, instructions, and measurements
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and timelines
• Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• You will be working in a brand new, natural light-filled, state-of-the-art facility in Walker, Michigan
• It can get warm in the summer months
