Job description

Position Summary :

The Inspector / Machine Operator is responsible for operating converting equipment by following all standard work to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and safety.

This position is for 2nd shift (2 pm to 10 pm) with training on 1st shift (6 am to 2 pm).

Essential Duties Include :

• Feeding paper stock, roll tending, clearing jams, and possibly restarting equipment.
• Monitoring glue levels and refilling as needed.
• Inspecting, packing, and stacking finished products.
• Performing all quality checks on back, table, and half-hour pulls.
• Participating in and promoting team problem solving and process improvement.
• Maintaining production records and equipment logs accurately and in a timely manner.

Education and Experience :

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of manufacturing or packaging experience.
• Strong skills in math and ruling; attention to detail and a desire to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Openness to process improvement and change.
• Good attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work overtime as needed.
