Job summary

Allegion is seeking candidates for 2nd Shift production roles at our Steelcraft facility in Cincinnati. You will perform production tasks to assist Machine Operators, handle and transport materials, and support multiple departments with loading, unloading, and moving goods.

No prior manufacturing experience is required as we offer training and development. We value safety and accuracy as you work in a fast-paced environment from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, with competitive starting pay and

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Lift, carry (25–50 lbs.), and move materials as required.
• Follow established work methods and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform production tasks as directed to assist machine operators.
• Handle and transport raw materials, parts, supplies, tools, fixtures and dies.
• Load and unload trucks, count and weigh materials for storage or processing.
• Position materials for loading/unloading conveyors and handling equipment.
• Deliver materials to manufacturing departments as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and follow standardized methods of work.

Play a key role in manufacturing at Allegion's Steelcraft facility, a major manufacturer of Steel Frames & Doors. Reporting into one of our Value Streams, Frames or Doors, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties, including manual work handling materials for our various manufacturing and service departments. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, however don't let this deter you from applying as we will support you in your training and development!

What You Will Do

• Perform production work as directed to assist Machine Operators set up and operate machines
• Handle and transport raw materials, parts, supplies, tools, fixtures, dies and trucks
• Work in all departments to load and unload trucks, count, weight, transport, and pile materials in storage areas
• Position and handle materials to load and unload conveyors, racks, containers, etc. for processing equipment
• Deliver materials and parts to manufacturing departments as directed
• Clean materials
• Follow standardized methods of work

What You Need to Succeed

• You must have the ability to see well, including strong depth perception and the ability to distinguish between colors
• You will be required to continuously or near continuously stand and maintain your balance
• You will need to be able to frequently (4 or more hours per day): lift, carry (25-50 lbs.), stoop, twist, and reach (overhead and to the side)
• You need to be able to occasionally walk, push & pull heavy carts
• Climbing, kneeling, and crouching may also be required
