Job summary

Aebi Schmidt Group in Bristol, IN, is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift to set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment. You will cut, bend, and form parts following blueprints and specifications to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, accurate inventory records, and teamwork in a fast-paced, continuous-improvement environment; the role requires ability to lift up to 50 lb and slide 100 lb as needed, with attention to detail and reliable

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate sheet metal fabricating machines to cut, bend, and form parts according to blueprints and specifications.
• Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment to ensure quality production with minimal unplanned stops.
• Follow safety and standard work in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through accurate stock transfers and cycle counts.
• Communicate with team members to support continuous production of correct products at high quality levels.
• Perform pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup.
• Maintain forklift/stand-up license and perform forklift log maintenance.
• Work with ERP/MRP and barcode systems in daily tasks.
• Transport materials using pallet jack, forklift, stand-up, or pac mule as needed.

What you’ll do:

Setup and operate sheet metal fabricating machines, such as press brakes, shears, turret punch presses, saws, and presses, to cut, bend, and form sheet metal according to blueprints and specifications

JOBRESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speedenvironment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in acontinuous improvement environment
• Experience in a manufacturing environmentis a plus
• Perform necessary pre-operation activitiesto ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces ofequipment
• Operate/monitor multiple pieces ofequipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplannedstops
• Communicate with team members and supportteams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high qualitylevels with minimal wasted time and materials
• Performthe above within acceptable quality, quantity, performance, and safetystandards
• Maintain valid forklift/stand-up license- including completion of daily forktruck maintenance log and proper maintenance of equipment
• Workingknowledge of ERP/MRP and bar code scanners systems
• Responsible for maintaining inventory record accuracy through accurate stocktransfers and cycle counts
• Transportsmaterials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles toaccomplish task including but not limited to pallet jack, forklift, stand-upand/or pac mule
