Job summary

Harland Clarke Corp, a Vericast brand, is seeking a production teammate for our High Point, NC facility on the 2nd shift, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. You will operate production equipment, monitor performance, and support continuous manufacturing operations.

Starting pay is $17.50 per hour with an additional $1.75 shift differential; after 30 days benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, generous PTO and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 0 - 3 years previous machine operating or production experience in a team environment preferred.
• Average to above average mechanical ability helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operate various production equipment monitoring overall performance, efficiency and quality.
• Perform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance.
• Sample and monitor product quality coming off the system, making modifications as needed.
• Troubleshoot packaging system performance and quality problems, correcting them and stabilizing performance as they occur.
• Replenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted.
• Supports the manufacture of personal products through a continuous production operation, requiring an understanding of work methods and procedures as well as various binding machines.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

• Operate variousproduction equipment monitoring overall performance, efficiency and quality.
• Perform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance.
• Sample and monitor product quality coming off the system, making modifications as needed.
• Troubleshoot packaging system performance and quality problems, correcting them and stabilizing performance as they occur.
• Replenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted.
• Supports the manufacture of personal products through a continuous production operation, requiring an understanding of work methods and procedures as well as various binding machines.
• Work is typically routine, although some discretion may be allowed. Applies limited knowledge and expertise applicable to specialty for the implementation of predominantly short-term tasks and projects for business needs.
• Other duties as assigned. This job description describes one skill (or part of a skill) within a multi-skilled production team member job.

Qualifications

Experience / Skills / Abilities Required:

Minimum 0 - 3 years previous machine operating or production experience in a team environment preferred.

Average to above average mechanical ability helpful.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:Manufacturing Environment - walking, standing, bending, twisting, grasping, reaching above and below shoulder, lifting up to 35pounds on a regular basis and up to 70 pounds on occasion. Must wear hearing protection on the production floor.

Additional Information

• Hourly Pay Rate: $17.50 and up DOE, plus $1.75 hourly shift differential
• Hours: 2nd shift (Monday- Friday3:00 pm - 11:30pm)
