Job summary

HP Cadwallader, Inc. operates a Harleysville, PA production facility seeking Machine Operators and Assistant Operators for 1st shift (5am–2pm) and 2nd shift (2pm–11pm).

Responsibilities include setting up jobs, informing material handlers of stock needs, performing make-ready tasks, inspecting and recording data on the shop floor system, and testing equipment. Ability to handle jams and assist in all plant floor tasks is required.

HP Cadwallader is seeking Machine Operators and Assistant Operators in its Harleysville, PA production facility for 1st (5am – 2pm) and 2nd shift (2pm – 11pm).

• Change over from previous job to new job.
• Notify Material handlers of stock requirements.
• Make-ready job according to customer requirements.
• Complete inspections and enter data on shop floor reporting system.
• Test equipment to check operation.
• Clear jams and works on eliminating operational malfunctions in machinery.
• May be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 10 hours.

Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications

• Proficiency with troubleshooting, repairs and adjusting in order to meet the specifications.
• Ability to use hand tools and trade type tools.
• Ability to be standing for long periods of time and work in tight confined spaces.
• Flexibility in changing priorities and working independently. Willingness to assist in all jobs on the plant floor.
• Ability to work overtime, including Saturdays, as necessary.
• Work closely with other production personnel as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity.
• Ability to share ideas with others to solve problems.
