Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to support fabrication manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment. Under supervision, you will set up and operate fin press, expander, hairpin tubing presses, and related equipment while monitoring gauges and process controls to meet specifications.

You'll work with lean manufacturing principles, maintain safety, quality, and efficiency, lift up to 50 lbs, read mechanical drawings, and collaborate with team members to

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year technical degree or Vo-Tech certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with similar machinery in an industrial setting.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Fabrication Manufacturing Operations, operates any of the following equipment: fin press, expander press, and hairpin tubing press or to perform leak test, rework, or a variety of assembly operations. Sets up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts which requires the use of protective gear to ensure safety.
