Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Crest Hill is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in a cold production environment. This full-time, temp-to-hire role involves operating production equipment, supporting packaging, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will train on the 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) for 30–60 days, then move to 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) with 35–50 hours per week.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules, regulations, and PPE requirements.
• Adhere to GMPs and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Set up, change over, adjust, troubleshoot, repair, and operate production machinery and equipment.
• Ensure equipment is operating properly and ready for production startup.
• Monitor product flow and make machine adjustments as needed to maintain efficiency and quality.
• Perform process control checks and quality inspections.
• Operate date coders and verify code dates on products and cases.
• Report equipment issues, quality concerns, and production challenges to supervisors.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, facility safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Clean and sanitize equipment using approved sanitation practices.
• Assist Quality Assurance with product sampling and other assigned duties.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area throughout the shift.

Pay Rate: $19.01 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Training Schedule: Must be available to train on 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) for 30–60 days

Important Work Environment Information

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 13 hours when required.
• Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and other physical activities throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in temperature conditions ranging from -30°F to 176°F, where applicable.
• Must be comfortable working in a cold production and assembly-line environment for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to perform moderate physical activity, including continuous standing for 10–13 hours.

Requirements

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must pass a 7-year criminal background check.
• Must be available to train on 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) for 30–60 days before transitioning to 2nd Shift.
