KENT Consumer Brands Americas, LLC, a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE™ family, has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a 2nd Shift Machine Operator at our Bolingbrook, IL facility. This full-time role supports our consumer brands portfolio and involves operating food packaging equipment.

The position requires training associates, maintaining docs, handling changeovers, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring product quality in the packaging room.

• Maintain documents such as pre-op checklist, pack sheets, metal detectors, lot numbers
• Review daily production requirements with the Production Lead and/or Supervisor
• Make package and product change-overs on all appropriate equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on line equipment
• Assure the quality of the finished product with QA staff and personal observations
• Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks in the area and equipment and manage waste

The Machine Operator performs repetitive work station operations in the Packaging Department. This position is responsible for all activities in the packaging room.

• “The compensation range for this role is $18 to $20, in addition to KENT standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors.”

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Train associates and production workers to perform their required duties. This includes running the equipment and following KPFG Core Procedures
• Maintain all documents such as pre-op checklist, pack sheets, metal detectors, lot numbers, etc.
• Review daily production requirements with the Production Lead and/or Supervisor
• Makes package and product change-overs on all appropriate equipment
• Preventative maintenance and minor repairs on his assigned line equipment at the direction of the Supervisor
• Assures the quality of the finished product by utilizing the QA staff and personal observations of the production and packaging processes
• Performs cleaning and sanitizing assignments on his/her area and equipment (sweeping, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, washing, etc) Loads trash in the dumpster

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds including above head and below the waist for 50% or more of shift.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to work at line speed with the ability to make coordinated hand and finger movements.
