Job summary

Custom Building Products is seeking a Machine Operator for our Lithia Springs, GA plant to operate automated equipment and robotic systems on the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM) with a $1/hour premium. Eligible for up to a further $1/hour increase after 90 days, with strong emphasis on safety and quality.

You will set up, monitor, and fine-tune production lines, load pallets, and maintain accurate weights while reducing downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with reading and interpreting work orders and instructions.
• Experience operating robotic/automated production equipment is preferred.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machine Operatorwith hands‑on automated machinery experience to join our Lithia Springs, GA plant. This position supports our 2nd shift and pays an additional $1.00/hour shift premium. Monday - Thursday 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM. Additionally, you will be eligible for up to an additional $1.00/hour increase after 90 days. This role requires an individual who can actively support daily production activities while maintaining a high level of efficiency and minimizing equipment downtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of production processes and machinery, with the ability to manage production schedules to ensure accuracy and optimize overall performance. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment, including robotic systems, while ensuring consistent product quality and efficient workflow.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor robotic systems using teaching pendants safely and efficiently
• Work with automated systems, including Noltec equipment (training will be provided)
• May include batch making duties
• Adjust machine settings, including product size and pallet configurations
• Place pallets on conveyors and initiate robotic operations
• Ensure accurate product weights and maintain neat, organized palletizing
• Monitor production processes to meet daily schedules and performance goals
• Troubleshoot basis equipment issues to minimize downtime
• Maintain a high level of quality, accuracy, and productivity
• Support team operations and contribute to continuous improvement efforts and goals

About You

We Require:

• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Ability to read and understand work orders and complex instructions
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to wear a respirator and required PPE (must be clean‑shaven per OSHA guidelines)
• High school diploma or GED
• Preferred experience with batch making, robotics, or automated production equipment
• Familiarity with production workflows and process optimization
