Job Description

• Operate laser cutting, annealing, and coating processes on a new production line at the Lincolnton, NC facility.
• Load/unload, operate, adjust, change-over, maintain multiple machines, set-up parameters, conduct quality checks, clean machines (including confined spaces), perform 5S, and assist in troubleshooting/maintenance.
• Adapt to different processes as needed.
• Overseas travel may be required for training.
• Communicate actively with departments such as Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality.
• Train and monitor new production associates, providing timely feedback.
• Achieve daily targets and escalate deviations.
• Ensure adequate work coverage with flexibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Technical or Vocational schooling is a plus.
• At least 2 years of experience in laser cutting of various materials; Fanuc or Trumpf experience is advantageous.
• Experience with HMI/CNC interfaces and robotics.
• Knowledge of CAM software is a plus.
• Ability to learn new processes, machines, and technologies.
• Setup of machines and measuring devices.
• Problem identification and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime.
• Ability to stand and move for 12 hours.
• Good hand dexterity and comfort working in confined spaces.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and prepare orders.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Math skills suitable for machining environments.
• Ability to read product prints and verify products.
• Proficiency with measuring devices.
• Adherence to procedures for machine cleanliness and tool organization.
• Experience with forklifts and walkie-stackers.
