Job summary

Aerotek in Carpentersville, IL is hiring for operator roles on a contract-to-hire basis. You will load and unload machines, move materials, and ensure product quality across production stages while safely using hand and power tools.

The position offers structured training, cross-training across multiple areas, and a clear pathway for advancement into higher‑level machine operator roles. Fully onsite and paid hourly at $19–$20 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload machines with raw materials and finished products in a safe and efficient manner.
• Handle materials throughout the production process, including using overhead cranes, forklifts, and CombiLift equipment.
• Monitor machines during operation to ensure products move correctly through each stage and meet quality expectations.
• Use hand and power tools to support production, maintenance, and general shop activities as required.
• Clean quench tanks and maintain a clean, organized work area to support safe operations.
