BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to operate and maintain equipment that shapes materials into high-quality components.

You will set up machines from drawings and blueprints, lift and position materials, and perform inspections to ensure exact specifications while contributing to continuous improvement and maintaining organized work areas. Responsibilities

• Operate and shape: Use machines to cut, punch, bend, weld, or shape materials into specified components to meet current demands.
• Prepare and set up: Set up machines and confirm specifications using drawings, blueprints, tablets, or other tools.
• Lift and position materials: Safely use lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts, to position materials or parts as needed.
• Ensure quality: Utilize measuring tools and processes to perform inspections before, during, and after production, ensuring materials meet exact specifications.
• Contribute to improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
• Maintain and organize: Keep track of material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support housekeeping and organizational standards, such as 5-S practices.
