Job summary

Reading Truck is seeking a Machine Operator for the 1st shift in Claremore. Team members run production lots and communicate runs in a high-volume shop, maintaining a safe work environment while gaining experience with brake press, plasma, or laser equipment.

The role operates Monday through Thursday (4 days, 10 hours) with overtime as needed on Fridays. Reading Truck emphasizes teamwork in fabricating commercial and fleet vehicles with a strong safety culture and competitive total rewards.

Qualifications

• Experience with brake press, plasma, or laser.
• Must be able to perform drilling, tapping, and sanding.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine shop operations.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to leadership.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety precautions.
• Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: drilling, tapping, and sanding, operating a Brake Press, Plasma Table, or Laser.
• Perform quality inspections of machined products.
• Complete and maintain paperwork.
• Must be willing to wear company provided PPE.

Experience with Brake press, Plasma, or Laser. Our Machine Operators run production lots, communicate with team regarding runs, and maintain a safe environment. The cool thing about it... you get paid to play with trucks!

Mon-Thursday (4 days / 10 hour shift) with overtime as needed on Friday

The Nuts and Bolts:

• Perform machine shop operations
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to leadership
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety precautions
• Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: Drilling, tapping, and sanding, operating a Brake Press, Plasma Table, or Laser.
• Perform Quality inspections of machined products
• Complete and maintain paperwork
• Must be willing to wear company provided, require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
