Job description

Join to apply for the Machine Operator 2 - 3rd Shift - Panels - Holland, M role at Haworth

We are seeking a 3rd Shift Machine Operator 2 to join our team in Holland. The schedule is from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, Sunday through Thursday, with overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities
  1. Operate assigned production machinery according to company standards to fulfill customer orders.
  2. Verify received parts against pick tickets for accuracy in counts, colors, part numbers, and packaging. Monitor material flow and update electronic systems accordingly.
  3. Select appropriate machine settings or programs based on specifications.
  4. Set up and operate machinery, make minor adjustments, and perform simple repairs if needed.
  5. Conduct change-overs, including adjusting tooling or tolerances and selecting programs.
  6. Investigate and document production nonconformance issues.
  7. Operate powered industrial trucks and overhead lift systems as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum education: 8th grade.
  • At least two years of manufacturing experience or one year of experience at Haworth.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck certification.
Physical & Environmental Demands
  • Work involves large machinery, potential for cuts, scrapes, or bruises.
  • Exposure to dust, noise, solvents, heat, paint, and lubricants.
  • Requires alertness to avoid injuries, with mandatory eye and hearing protection.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as walking, bending, twisting, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency with electronic production and maintenance management systems, and familiarity with technology tools like PCs, tablets, RF guns.
