What Rockwell Needs from You

We need a diverse workforce to do our best work. We need the makers, the forward thinkers, the problem solvers, and everything in between. That is where you come in. We have an immediate hiring need for our full-time manufacturing Machine Operator 2.

This is a 3rd Shift role (Sun-Thu, 10PM - 6AM), in the Electronic Assembly department with a starting rate of $19.28 per hour with a 10% shift premium.

Job Summary:

Operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of the our product. Work from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks. Checks and inspects operation against predetermined tolerances.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Use documented work instructions with schematics and manufacturing execution systems on semi-routine assignments at a variety of workstations. Work and use judgment to recognize the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.

You will work with Surface Mount Technologies and other electronically-controlled processes, components and full Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layouts for final product creation. The ability to work with machines, select solder, wave solder, and conformal coat and operate multiple machines and workstations at once is crucial to the role. Being an SMT Operator, pick parts, set up jobs per pic list, running the lines which requires 5 pieces of equipment at once, first line of inspection for all boards to ensure they are being built, work with techs and team leads to troubleshoot equipment failures and canning and link information to jobs.

You will prepare reels and feeders for use on surface mount technology (SMT) machines; count materials and moves to production line, burns firmware programs into electronic components using programming machines, creates and applies labels onto PCBs (manually or automated), makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to print specifications and operates optical inspection machine and performs visual classification and repair of rejected boards. Overtime is an essential function of this position which typically requires 20 hours of overtime/week. Actual overtime hours may vary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of High School Diploma/GED OR 1 year of verified related experience

  • Typically requires 1 year of previously related experience.
