Job summary

ABB is seeking a skilled machine operator in Florida to run process equipment and convert raw materials into components or finished parts. You will follow defined workflows, operate machinery, and ensure production is on time with the required quality.

In this role you will perform routine setup, adjustments, and simple repairs, maintain equipment and records, and ensure materials are available for scheduled work. You must uphold ABB safety standards and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Your Role And Responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to operate process equipment or machinery to convert raw materials or semi-finished parts into components or finished parts for a final product at the right time and with the required quality. Each day, you will execute the assigned tasks according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance. You will also showcase your expertise by operating machines in accordance with the operating manual, work schedule, and/or production order instructions.

Core Responsibilities

• Executes the assigned tasks according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance.
• Operates machines in accordance with the operating manual, work schedule, and/or production order instructions.
• Performs routine machinery set-up, adjustments, and repairs and fits simple replacement parts.
• Ensures regular standard maintenance of the equipment, tools set-up, programming activities, and troubleshoots and reports issues, if any.
• Ensures the availability of required materials to execute the assigned work according to the defined workflow.
• Maintains a safe working attitude and environment while performing daily activities.
• Maintains detailed records of machinery set-ups, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Keeps track of approved, defective units, and final products.
