Job description

Machine Operator - 1st Shift- O'Neal Manufacturing Services

Responsibilities
  • Set-up and operate machines including adjustment and/or replacement of tooling, guides, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Operate equipment such as bevellers, saws, burners, laser cutters, shot blasters, robotic welders, or CNC machining centers.
  • Support safety and quality programs by following all rules and established processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Shifts
  • Monday-Thursday 5:00AM-3:30PM
  • Fridays reserved for overtime
Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to operate forklift and cranes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and measuring tools.
  • Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa, and metric to English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to provide high-quality work.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
Physical Requirements
  • Repetitive lifting of 20-50 lbs throughout a shift.
  • Ability to bend, sit, stand, twist, and stoop for long periods.
  • Walk 2-5 miles during a shift.
  • Good vision (20/30 with corrective lenses).
  • Manual dexterity for precise manipulation.
Environmental Conditions
  • Exposure to temperature changes, loud noises, vibration, and potential hazards such as moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, scaffolding, and chemicals.
  • Exposure to fumes, dust, mists, gases, and poor ventilation.
  • Contact with oils and cutting fluids.
