Job summary

Praxis Packaging Solutions is hiring a Machine Operator in Randolph Township, NJ to operate production machinery and conduct ongoing quality checks. You will ensure material supply, pack and palletize finished units, and maintain a clean, safe work environment following OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities include monitoring production speed, recording rejects, and communicating machine deficiencies to the supervisor or mechanic.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in production, warehouse, or related supply chain function.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Ability to monitor quality and report deficiencies promptly.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment in line with policies and procedures.
• Perform ongoing quality checks and monitor packaging quality.
• Pack units, palletize boxes, and ensure material supply at the machine.
• Follow OSHA safety regulations and maintain a clean work area.
• Document rejects and complete machine charts each shift.
• Report machine deficiencies to mechanic or supervisor.

Job description

The Machine Operator will perform actual operation of production machinery, including ongoing quality checks and general machine maintenance.

Essential Functions And Responsbilities

• Operate equipment in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Follow safety procedures in accordance with Company guidelines, OSHA standards and other regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor quality of the package throughout production.
• Pack units at end of production line and palletize boxes.
• Monitor production speeds and report machine deficiencies to mechanic or supervisor.
• Ensure that there is an adequate supply of materials at the machine.
• Monitor rejects during shift. Compile and record all rejects at end of shift.
• Complete the machine chart to reflect shift production.
• Clean the machine at the end of the shift and as needed during the shift.
• Follow applicable OSHA safety regulations etc.
• Understand FDA regulations to the operations and consequences of nonconformance.
• Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work environment.
• Ensures timely completion of work.
• Responsible for adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
• Works to improve the effectiveness of the quality management system through the use of the quality policy, quality objectives, audit results, analysis of data, corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure proper PPE and Safety procedures are followed.
• Highschool diploma or GED equivalent, required.
• 1 or more years of experience in production, warehouse, or related supply chain function, required
