Position Summary

Harland Clarke, a Vericast company, is seeking a Machine Operator for our 1st Shift team. The Machine Operator will oversee the operation and performance of packaging equipment (Automated CloseOut System), ensuring quality and meeting production goals. This position is based in High Point, NC.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

• Operate the packaging system, monitoring performance, efficiency, and quality.
• Perform start-up, shut-down, and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Sample and monitor product quality, making adjustments as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve packaging system issues to stabilize performance.
• Replenish materials as they are used.
• Maintain records related to production, efficiency, and quality.
• Operate bindery/packaging equipment to complete printed material production.
• Support manufacturing of personal products through continuous production, understanding work methods and procedures.
• Perform routine work with some discretion, applying knowledge to short-term tasks and projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Decision Making: Mechanical troubleshooting, production, and priority decisions related to maintenance and quality.

Qualifications

Experience / Skills / Abilities Required:

0-3 years of machine operating or production experience preferred. Mechanical ability is a plus.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions: Manufacturing environment involving walking, standing, bending, twisting, grasping, reaching, and lifting up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally. Hearing protection required on the production floor.

Additional Information

• Hourly Rate: $17.00 DOE

The final compensation will depend on factors such as skill level, experience, and responsibilities.
