Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking skilled Machine Operators for the Operations I/II/III levels in Colorado. Responsibilities include operating machines to required tolerances, maintaining product quality, and adhering to safety and housekeeping rules.

The team will cross-train across stations and participate in continuous learning. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of relevant experience.

Competenze

• High school Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• 2-3 years of experience operating relevant machinery or equivalent preferred.
• Detail oriented and organized; works well in a team.
• Able to safely use hand tools with precision.

• Continuously learn principles, practices, and processes of the job as changes require.
• Safely handle materials using proper lifting techniques, including overhead hoists/lift tables.

• For higher levels: operate complex machinery independently at defined rate with quality; train others on work instructions.

Machine Operator – Operations I/II/III will review work instructions, build product per specifications and within tolerances, complete all clean-up and housekeeping procedures, comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations including wearing all appropriate PPE.

Machine Operator – Operations I

Responsibilities:

• Proficiently operate basic machinery independently at a defined rate with proper quality.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the products they assemble and how they impact the business.
• Continuous learning of the principles, practices, and processes of their job as changes require and similar jobs.
• Safely handle materials utilizing proper lifting techniques, including overhead hoists/lift tables.
• Communicate hazards and/or equipment issues with leadership.
• Occasionally provide basic training to employees as needed.
• Cross train in different areas within the department and flex to different stations as needed.

Machine Operator – Operations II

All Machine Operator I responsibilities.

Additional responsibilities:

• Operate complex machinery independently (minimum of 50% stations) at defined rate with proper quality.
• Frequently provide training to employees on work instructions/standard work.

Requirements

• High school Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• 2-3 years of experience operating relevant machinery or equivalent.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Work in a team environment in a professional manner.
• Effectively communicate.
• Utilize applicable hand tools with precision.

Education

• High school Diploma or equivalent (GED).

Work Experience

• Machine Operator – Operations I 1 year of experience operating relevant machinery or equivalent.
• Machine Operator – Operations II 2-3 years of experience operating relevant machinery or equivalent.
• Machine Operator – Operations III 3+ years of experience operating relevant machinery or equivalent.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Detail oriented and organized.
• Work in a team environment in a professional manner.
• Effectively communicate.
• Utilize applicable hand tools with precision.
• Knowledge and understanding of intermediate machinery.
