Job description

Overview: As a Nailer Operator, you are responsible for setting up the machine between runs, infeed pallet components into the machine, and watch for quality. You are responsible for fixing any quality issues and conducting weekly preventative maintenance on the machine.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Sort pallet component material and feed acceptable material into the machine
• Build pallets according to customer’s requirements
• Check each pallet for quality issues as the pallets are being built
• Record production times and pallet counts throughout the day and turn sheet into the production manager after each shift
• Conduct preventative maintenance as required
• Set up the machine in between each run according to the kiosk and to the customer needs
• Communicate with maintenance and supervisor of any machine issues
• Communication with production manager of any issues regarding machine and quality
• Maintain and clean up work area during and at the end of each shift
• Wear PPE that is required
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Able to work well with others
• Must be able to read, write, perform basic math computation, and read a tape measure
• On most occasions will lift 50 pounds or less and on a rare occasion must be able to lift, push and pull objects that are 75 pounds or heavier
• Must be able to sit, walk, bend and twist for long periods of time throughout the day
• Must be able to understand and adhere to all the safety requirements of the pallet manufacturing facility
